The route allows us to enter the oldest national park in Chile. With a landscape of Patagonian airs, the trekking will give us wonderful views of the Northeast and East faces of the Osorno volcano, the West face of the La Picada hill, in addition to allowing us to explore the “Desolaci\u00f3n Pass” and its incredible views of the lakes Todos Los Santos, Rupanco, and Llanquihue.<\/p>\n
The route is a semi-circuit that will take us to travel around 14 kilometers and about 800 meters in positive slope (and 710 meters in descent). Without a doubt, the best months to enjoy this route are between November and April, when there are more sunny days and less snow on the route, but in winter the snow makes it a real adventure!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
“La Picada”, on the north side of the Osorno volcano in the Vicente P\u00e9rez Rosales National Park, is one of the historical sectors of the development of mountain sports and outdoor life during the time of German colonization in southern Chile. It was its slopes where skiing began during the first half of the 20th century and where the first mountain refuges were built.<\/p>\n
Nowadays it is an area that allows us to hike little-visited trails with Patagonian air.
