Located in the Conguill\u00edo National Park, in the Araucan\u00eda region, this colossus of 3,125 meters of altitude offers an unforgettable experience for nature and mountaineering lovers. With our guided ascent program to the Llaima Volcano it is not necessary to have previous mountaineering experience to enjoy the heat that emanates from its earth and the unmissable views of the Sierra Nevada volcano, the immensity of the Conguill\u00edo National Park with its lush forests of ancient araucaria trees, the Conguill\u00edo Lake and the meandering rivers of petrified lava. On clear days, the view extends to neighboring volcanoes such as Villarrica and Lan\u00edn, and beyond, the vast plains of the Araucan\u00eda region. <\/span><\/p>\n

A two-day program starting with transportation from the city of Puerto Varas to go directly to the Nevados de Vilc\u00fan refuge. A freeway journey of just over five hours, which allows us to have some flexibility in the pick-up and drop-off points. In the refuge we will have shared rooms that require the use of our own sleeping bag; if available, dinner service will be provided by the refuge, otherwise we will prepare it ourselves, as well as breakfast. Both meals are included in the program.<\/p>\n

The ascent in the summer season runs through volcanic rocks and a glacier sector in the upper part, being almost 9 kilometers of ascent, with almost 1,600 meters of elevation to gain, with an average slope of 19%, but that in the final part increases to sections of 54%. Although the guided program does not require previous experience, it is necessary to have a very good physical condition and experience being outdoors doing physical activity.<\/p>\n

In the winter season, it is an ideal destination for ski touring, offering various ascent and descent itineraries to suit the conditions and experience of the participants.<\/p>\n
